Mabel Tainter Theater — 4/8/2009

Ghostlore states that the spirit of Mabel herself haunts the theater but due to the fact she passed away even before the theater was built, we speculate this.

Several employees have reported their equipment being tampered with and passerbys have seen lights and shadows of figures in the windows even after the theater has been closed up and all the employees have left.

Whatever the case is, I have taken a tour thru the Victorian theater and thought it was absolutely GORGEOUS. Even if you don't believe in the ghostlore, go take a tour there, it's worth it!

This was probably one of the prettiest "haunts" we ever came across. What used to be known as "Black's Ravine" is now called The Devil's Punchbowl. This giant "scoop" in the ground as we would like to call it, was a result from a sea deposit which formed up about 4.6 billion years ago. About 500 million years ago, an ancient sea laid down sediments and buried itself into sandstone rock.

There have been reports of gnomes scurrying up the side walls or rock or thru the tunnel along the side of the bowl. Also water collected has remained clear and cold no matter where you put it or what temperature it is outside.

Tainter Hall More then one unexplained deaths, suicides and what not have occurred within this hall And those who have died there have never left. The kitchen in Tainter is where you can experience these spirits the most. Many people who work late in the kitchen have noticed that equipment will turn on by itself, objects will be miss placed in locked freezers and the radios will mysteriously change stations. People where brought in who talked to these ghosts who claim they mean no harm, they just wish to hang around the building they previously lived in.
