Location Description:

It is a great tourist attraction. For years everyone has gone to this place on the road between Marfa and Alpine. No one knows if the lights are in fact spectral or of UFO origin.

Take US Highway 67 east out of Marfa for about nine miles. A viewing area for the Marfa Lights is located just off the highway.

rsmith2020 Last Seen: 1/16/2008 8:07:51 PM	I have seen the lights in person, and they are very interesting, we tried to take video, but it never came out. The lights get bright, then dim, and move away. There are some telephone pole lights in the distance, but you can tell the difference, because the marfa lights tend to change color, much like stars that flicker in the atmosphere.

heffy88 Last Seen: 3/15/2008 6:23:26 PM	I was in Marfa a few days after Christmas and sat out at the viewing area for a couple hours and never saw anything.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I grew up in the area...lots of weird stories from that area. But I have seen the lights...very strange. I remember when unsolved mysteries came down and did a story on it a long time ago.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I've been to the site twice. The first time we saw multiple lights and they appeared to be chasing one another, merging and dividing and seemed to come closer to us as well. The second time, we saw nothing. It's really a blast, though.
