Martinville Church RoadA few miles down this road there is the old Martinville Church. The history behind this church is not really known, but something definitely is unusual about the site. It is a very old unused church and there is a cemetery behind the church with a large iron gate. At the cemetery entrance witnesses heard singing and saw faint lights on in the church. It was very cold all of a sudden(on a July evening) and the air was very heavy. They ran and got back into the car and as soon as they pulled away from the church the lights in the church suddenly went off.

I too was unable to find this church. I saw Martinville Church which was right at the Sumter/Lee county line but I don't think thats the one. Anyone else with directions?

Martinville church road use to be the whole road they renamed half of it. the half that is under another name is where the church is. it is also not named the martinville church. i believe the name is Rembert Church and Cemetary. i went looking for it and it matches the exact description. also i have felt cold chills in the middle of summer in the cemetary. everyone who lives here knows our summers are 103 degrees with a 100 percent humidity and i've also heard very faintly singing. my mom drove past one morning about 5:30 am and heard voices like they were in the car with her she said to many talking at one time to make anything out. about 3 minutes after she had passed the church the voices stopped. i believe the name of the road is Dubose siding.
