Browns Springs is a very widely known in and around Thackerville for people from Texas dropping off dead body`s there in the spring up one of the hills is also an abandoned cemetery that is from the 1800`s when you go up there and listen you cant hear anything it is dead silence no birds or insects just silence. It is said that on a tour to the springs a girl was pulled to a grave site by something that wasn’t there. There has also been sightings of trees bleeding and sightings of a little girl standing by the headstone marked "Butch". Faces have been seen in photos taken here.

Many unwary travelers have been robbed and killed. The men in this clan of
evil people would imprison, torture, rape, and eventually kill any unwary women that they had a chance to capture. The patriarch of the family would "Break In" the females born to the clan and then pass them around to the other uncles, brothers, cousins, etc. The
story goes that one day a Choctaw girl was abducted by the patriarch and raped. The girl fled after she escaped and the elders of her family came back, in the night, and captured the patriarch. The girls family staked the evil man to the ground and sliced open his
belly so that Hattak Offi/The Man Dog of that area could have a good meal with out having to work for it. Another name for Hattak Offi is Nalusa or Nalushka Falaya, which translates to Long Evil Being or Long Wicked Person.(Bigfoot?)
The girls family came back the next morning and sure enough the evil man`s soft organs, were missing and his entrails were spread all over the place. The girl`s family then took the body of the evil patriarch and threw it into Brown`s spring to curse the spring to any that would rely on it for water. It is said that the evil patriarch`s family still has descendants in the area, and that his ghost haunts that area at night. I learned this in a gang rape investigation in January of 1985 when I worked at Healdton Police Dept. I arrested a descendant of the original family on a rape complaint and in the ensuing investigation dug up some really wild sounding stuff.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The area is home to some pretty wild stuff. It's STRONGLY recommended that you not take anything from the cemetery, as Hattak Offi, who is apparently the guardian of the resting souls there, will deliver his wrath unto you.
Leeper Lake, which is also in the area, is allegedly home to a monster. In the same neck of the woods, the KKK is reported to hold meetings. Stay away from areas where you see ladders around trees. The stories say that they're hiding in these trees, waiting for young thrill-seekers to make an unwise move.
There's also another story I've heard from the people who work at the nearby Casino (a friend of mind used to work there, and has heard plenty about it)-- if you take two beers to the cemetery, have one person open and take a drink of their beer, walk back down the hill, and have the second person open and take a drink at the bottom, you'll find that the person who took a drink in the cemetery's beer has turned to water, and the other person's is still beer. I've tried it, and it didn't work, but if you find out otherwise, please let me know.
In addition to all of this, as if it weren't enough, a man named Butch has been there and taken lots of pictures. He strongly suggests not to venture into this veritable hellhole after dark. I've been there several times, and it's plenty scary during the day. After dark adventures have led to the strangest encounters me and my friends have ever had at this place with the so-called "other side". Weird place, man. Weird place.
