Back September 2001, my grandfather was in the hospital dieing from cancer and the family went there to say our good-byes. While my husband, then three year old daughter and I went to see the memorial. While we were walking around the chairs, our daughter, who`s name is Emily, climbed over the chain that surrounds the chairs and went and sat in one of the chairs. We started to get on to her when a lot of the locals said to leave her alone. Finally, she got up, and when she did, we noticed that the chair she sat in, which keep in mind how old she was when this happened, belonged to a little girl named Emily. We can`t remember if it was the little girls first or middle name though. EERIE........Well, the people that were witnessing this said that these things have been happening to the kids that come to "PLAY" as the locals called it. Many took her picture before she got up and after. Those pictures are out there somewhere!! Maybe someone from there will see this and post them.......Wishful thinking.
@@@@@@@By the way, I`m 31 yrs. old................look back at the legend.............WOW, EVEN EERIER!!!!!!!!!

It was bombed on April 19, 1995, killing 168 men, women and children. The Oklahoma City National Memorial now stands in the place of the destroyed building.

I remember that day. I live in a small town not far from OKC and I was sitting in class and we all heard a noise kind of like a plane, but not quite the same. We all blew it off and soon after another teacher rushed into the class to give us the news. I also have a brother in law who was a fireman sent in to find survivors and he said what he saw there was horrible, one of the worst scenes in his life.

Funny didn't think much of it when we were there but my 2 year old son wouldn't stop crying when we were there. He started crying at the hope tree and stopped when we left the memorial. We couldn't figure out why. Weird.

i currently live in OKC and ive been to the memorial several times. everytime ive been there a young kid has gone to sit in one of the small chairs. its really odd how everyone reacts. no one ever tells the child to move, they just watch. the whole memorial is very somber & ive seen many kids upset there but ive always figured it was because its boring for kids
