If you can find the gas chamber you should be able to find Nbc road. If you need more info on how to get around base I can help with that but other than that I can't help. sweet_leilani_80@hotmail.com email me and I can see if I can help you find it.
I live on Cherry Point Base and am very interested in hearing EVP's. You should post them or a link to them so we can hear..
A couple weeks ago I was pulling into Alleghany rd and there was a lady standing at the kitchen window in #4, no one lives there yet. We had a party last night and the topic of Kissie came up so that started a whole conversation on ghost. Us ladies were sitting around our fire pit and were talking about going to her grave site to see if anything would happen. We continued talking about our own personal experiences and there was a loud *Sigh*. It freaked us out and so we darted in the house. I told my husband and he was drinking and wanted to go out and see if we were lying. He proceeded to curse her and he heard the same thing. He went to come into the house and the handle wouldn't turn on the door. The only was to lock it is from the dead bolt.
My father was a Lt Col in the Marine Corps and from 1962 to 1965 we were stationed at Cherry Point. Having always been a "nightcrawler" with an overt love of old cemetaries, I was pretty happy when I came across the old family graveyard near the far end of the base. Cherry Point is the world's largest Marine Corps Air Staion, running approximately 9 1/2 miles from the main gate to the Naval "crash crew" station at the end on the sound. There is an earthen side road which takes you down to the officer's boat area. Half way down this road is a very old cemetary which I was told is the burial plots for the family which once owned this land many years ago. Some of the dates on the tombstones dated back to the early 1700's..To my understnding this is the only cemetary on Cherry Point. Perhaps I'm wrong but I never heard of one close to the Staff housing which is about 6 miles away from the Officer housing. Having spent many many hours at and in this graveyard, I NEVER experienced anything paranormal or ghostly. I personally find cemetaries to be rather peaceful and relaxing. Don't believe the dead can harm you in quite the way the living can harm you. If this woman is looking for her children, why wouldn't she ask us to help her? If my children were missing, I would certainly ask for help. And I will never believe that any spirit not at rest, would take out vengeance on those who are either living or not living just because they can't find the right person to "even the score". Just my thoughts....
I have been an mp on cpnc for 3 years now and have two stories worth mentioning in this whole ghost hunt. First off the story of the lcpl in the guard shack was absolutely true. He ended up in the hospital at leguene being treated for mental disorders. This was in the early 90's I cant remember his name but a gunny I work for was a lcpl in a different platoon at the time and I know he remembers so I will try to post that later for anyone wishing to follow up on this....... When i first got here i was doing a security check in the area that that lcpl was on duty (this was before I had heard his story). No one mans that post now because the gates are automated and we just check them at night. Me and a fello lcpl were parked in that area filling out paperwork when i had to relieve myself. I got out of the car and walked a little more than 50 feet from it go, and i felt very uneasy couldnt even p easily. While i was going i heard a very faint raspy voice say excuse me sir. Admittedly it freaked me out and i ran back to the car. No one could be back there. When i got in the car i accused my buddy of playing a trick on me but i could tell from his oblivious look and concern for what my face was so white about that he hadn't. We spot lighted the area for a minute in case someone was there and then left both of us refusing to go back down there again. He has since left and i stayed away from the area for about two years. I have been there since but have never so much as felt uneasy again...........
This was not mentioned, but my father is a CWO3 and told me the story of "Kissy" quite a few times. This is what he told me...
When the airbase was built, there was a grave(Kissy's grave) in the middle of where they were going to build the runway. They moved this grave off to the side of the runway thinking that it was no big deal. What they didn't know, was that there was a child buried next to her. That child, was her baby girl. They didn't know it was there, and when they moved Kissy they seperated them, and that upset Kissy. It has been reported several times, the most recent was in 2009, that Kissy walks the runway at night, to opposite side of her grave, towards her baby girl, because she is searching for her.
I do not believe Kissy means any harm, and if they removed the part of the runway where her little girl is, and moved her grave next to her mother's, that it would calm Kissy's spirit, and she could finally rest peacefully knowing her baby girl is with her once again.
when i was 4 though 7 i could hear the kids playing in my room and i could see kissy. kissy use to play with me in my room she is really nice. she was my gohst and my brother but the kids were my gohst to i saw them at night too kissy and the kids r really nice i like them. she made me happy evey time i was sad she was my best friend!!! :)
Geez, the unknown really makes people come up with the craziest connections. Lizzie's farm and house were just about in the center of the flightline. There is a picture of it in Havelock Historian Eddie Ellis' photographic history of Havelock. She was 47 when she died even thought the headstone says 40. She didn't get beaten and raped by marines and she wasn't eaten by crocs, like her "niece" states. According to the death certificate, she died of food poisoning. Her grave, as well as quite a few others, was moved when CP was being built, blacks on one side, whites on the other, as was the custom at the time.
That is very interesting! i live on cherry point now and im having a hard time finding Nbc rd!
