Location Description:
There is a mansion located at the end of the road. It was built in the late 1700`s. No one has ever lived in the house. This lady that owned Pharr yarns built it for her grandson. He died shortly after she built it. Since he died she said no one could live in it. The town has since tried to make it a haunted house and the proceeds go to the local fire department. Rumor is 2 men and a woman haunt it. People that work upstairs have seen and heard stuff to where they have ran out the house white as a ghost and breathing as though someone was trying to kill them. They have reported seeing a woman upstairs holding a baby`s head in one hand and another head in the other. People have been going downstairs and heard someone following them and turned around to see no one. Also reports of pictures in one of the upstairs room just fall off the wall as if someone was knocking them off. Fair Warning, you most likely will be charged to go though it.

THE TRUTH BEHIND THE STORIES
SPENCER MOUNTAIN`S HAUNTED MANSION
There have been many documented facts and proven statements that have been confirmed by not just one but many paranormal professionals from across the United States, that show clear evidence that the house is haunted.
The old mansion now sits abroad where the old Spencer Mountain Cemetery used to sit.
In fact, the entire hillside from Pharr Blvd. all the way over to Ranlo/Spencer Mountain Road was once a final resting place for many unforgotten souls.
Some of the old mill houses, now ran down and in need of much repair are
still occupied by very few, mostly retired textile workers and immigrants.
These old homes sit right on top of still visible tombstones.
In the late 1990`s land was donated by the property owners to one of the families of decedents that were confirmed as having family buried on this same hillside. You can now view this grave site that sits on the hillside on Main Street Spencer Mountain which is approximately 300 feet from the mansion.
Some say that if all in the group truly believe, that on any given night Sarah will make her appearance be known.
Sometimes you can see her as only a silhouette.
But at other times many have seen her as she is.
There have been documented statements of people just simply riding by in their auto mobiles that stated that they seen her in the upper bay window of the mansion.
No expressions, no movement, but just a stare.
Then she would disappear.
Some have claimed to have seen her by the old well which is located just below the mansion, and some state they have seen her walking on the street in front of the old place but as they got closer she vanished.
These are all true stories reported by not just one individual but by many.
Sarah has been the most seen spirit, but not the only one.
A professional physic after going on a paranormal tour through the mansion in 2005 stated that she(Sarah) is just one of many spirits that reside on this property.
She also stated that there were children.
This would explain the many sightings of a little girl with blond hair that has shown up in several pictures taken there.
