One of my granddaughters lived at Ft. Bragg when her husband was stationed there. Her house had been built, I am told, in 1929, and even though there were many modern updates in it, one can tell that it is old. One day, the family was gone, and the next door neighbor was working in her flower bed between the two houses. She stood up to go into her house, and saw a woman looking out the dining room window at her. The neighbor's house had two or three small children appearing at odd times, once even fooling her into thinking one was her youngest son who was three. Down the street, a man haunted another house. Evidently, the man, the woman and the children were a family, but who had gotten separated at some point. My granddaughter tried to trace the history of her house, but didn't find anything useful.
