Location Description:

In January of 2006 I was leaving the West edge of Ft. Branch on SR 168. The western horizon had a sight to behold. The bright sun coming up in the East behind me was somehow being reflected downwards through dark cottony rain clouds.

The sight at 7:30 AM was a very wide dark orange sun pillar that came straight down on the short hills three miles away! If you have seen the same thing please chime on in typing a note through the dust cloud that I just stirred up posting this odd sunlight phenomenon.

I was the only one going West as the eastbound commuters missed a great view on the extreme right side of their rear view mirrors. It was unbelievable to see! Have you seen the same sun pillar where you live in this Strange USA!
