AnonymousVisiter ** US	I was questioning the rumors of the cemetary until one night about 6 years ago when me and a friend were driving around, taking random lefts and rights and started to really get lost. I had told him to turn around and we`d back track to go home and his car died by a cemetary I had no idea it was that one (never been there, just heard about it) until about a week later. I am not sure if it was just a coincidence or what but it scard the you know what out of me and ever since I have believed something is wrong there.

AnonymousVisiter D US	I have been to this cemetery numerous times and everytime something has happened. The first time was the eeriest. A few friends and I arrived one summer night at about 10:30pm, and things started to happen right away. We heard a baby crying, drumbeats that came from the ground, running in the woods, me and another person went in the woods and stood there for a second when we both heard a growl that was neiter human nor animal, we both booked it. Someone captured a face on their camera. Usually everytime were there we hear babies crying, running in the woods, snapping of trees, and the scariest of all is a truck that seems to drive by everytime were there. We have never been able to see a driver. One time we tried following it, but it seemed to dissapear. It is a spooky yet very cool place!

AnonymousVisiter ** US	This is not called the "little swan" cemetery. Little swan cemetery is off of south townline road. This cemetery off of zim road is called the "Lavelle cemetery". There used to be a church in this cemetery right in the middle. This cemetery is located next to the St. Louis river. Back about a 1/2 back in the woods is where the swan river and st louis river connect. Back in the late 1800's across the road from the cemetery there used to be a old lumber jack camp. Along the river bed it is said to be haunted from the lumber jacks that had died. They used to barry the lumber jacks along the side of the river bed. With the baby crying it is said to have happened for about 100 years. There is a book that was made from the people that lived in Toivola. There is a big article about this cemetery and it explains the orbs, temperature changes, with all the strange stuff that has happened through out the last 100 yrs.

AnonymousVisiter R US	i've been there once.. a couple years ago i went up north to my cabin and one of my friends who lives up there took me to that cemetery. at the time i didn't even know there was even a cemetery there.. we were just driving around randomly, i thought we were lost, and then out of know where this cemetery shows up. my friend stopped the car and i swear i have never been so scared in my life. i'm not usually one to freak out over a small cemetery but something about that place is really freaky. i wouldn't leave the car and i ended up begging my friend to drive back home.. i'm going to go back there in a few months. i'm really curious now!

AnonymousVisiter ** -	Little swan cemetery is on a dirt road off of country rd 444 that connects to south townline. Lavelle cemetery is on zim rd down by the big painted up bridge bridge. You should know from growing up out there lol.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I went to Zim Cemetary in late September with one of my cousins and my mom and when we found it i knew right there it was haunted because i felt a chill down my back and my mom's hair on her arm stood up right away..as we got out we looked in the back of the cemetery and seen the river so we walked back and i heard this noise in the woods..it was daylight so it wasn't really scary..got some pics and there was a see through apparation and faces which scared me..then we went home and soon comin back when its dark out!

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I've gone to this cemetery only once and this time was today. I wasn't that scared at first but on the way there I found this website and started to get scared. As soon as we got to the road I felt a chill that ran though my whole body. All of a sudden a random owl came out of nowhere in the middle of the road. After that, my friends truck died.. It was really creepy. Lol. :]

AnonymousVisiter M US	everytime i go to the cemetary i always see a black cat on the way there. and when we get there i always see something crazy. i had a friend who took pictures with her camera phone and she had to get a new phone since than cuz there was a face in her camera and it would move around. and a lot of another crazy stuff has happened. next time i want to get out of the car and stand out there.

AnonymousVisiter ** -	Seems like a lot of people like to visit the cemetery for a variety of reasons, including sightings, vandalism, underage drinking, etc.... Just a friendly note, the sheriff and local po-po also like to patrol the area A LOT. Just the other day they took some underagers to jail for drinking and drugs.

AnonymousVisiter ** -	About a month ago around 10:30 pm a friend and I decided to check county rd 444 out because we heard it was haunted. We passed 2 deer exactly, stopped the car, and out of nowhere my car died. My car has been nothing but reliable to me since I got it and it would NOT start. We started freaking out because we were in the middle of nowhere and it was going on 11 at night. We sat for about 45 min and tried starting the car again and it started like a charm. Never going back on that road!!

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I've been out there twice, and I plan to go many more times. The first time I went out there I went with my boyfriend and my cousin. On our way out we saw what we thought was a fox or something, a baby skunk, and a black cat. Before I went out there I thought everything I had heard about this place was a joke, it's not. When we got out there I made them keep the lights on at first and we used our phones for lights too, we heard nothing. So, we turned the car lights off, put the phones away, and stood by one of the graves. About a minute after we heard something that sounded like it was crawling by our feet, and then we heard a thud that sounded like it had come from underneath us. We ran back to the car right away. Then we drove the car closer to the other side, took our phones back out, and went to check out the graves. The graves are from the late 1800's and early 1900's. There's one set which is family. A mother's tombstone, a father's, a son, and a one year old baby. The second time I went we weren't as lucky to hear anything, but I plan to go again.

Ive been out there so many times in the middle of the night messing around and stuff and have never had a problem there. Im not saying it isn't haunted because i have heard one story from a family friend and after that i truly believe there is some type of ghosts or something out there.My mothers friend said she was driving back out to there land one night after work and she had to pass by the cemetery and she swears she saw some type of white figure standing in the middle of the field. I have never heard any storys of a baby crying or stuff like that in the woods, but there is a farm with cows in the back so that could be a factor in the noises people hear. Please keep posting your storys because ide love to hear one that matches mine somewhat.

AnonymousVisiter ** US	I used to go out there in high school about twice a week. More than 1 of us heard a baby crying on several occasions. A few times there was a pretty severe temperature change when walking under the archway into the cemetery. The headlights went out on my car and a friend of mines car on 3 occasions once next to the cemetery. Otherwise, it's generally just a creepy place.

AnonymousVisiter	Me and my family went to zim cemetery on thanksgiving of 09. we got there at about 11. me and my cousin decided to get out of the van(everyone else was to scared) and take a bunch of picture of the graves and such. we asked if there was anything else there and if there was to make a noise. right after we said that, we heard branches breaking left and right, and something howl. it didn't sound like a normal howl though. the next day, we were looking through the pictures of the cemetery, and the graves were not in the pictures. it just looked like a big field with a bunch of white, smokey figures.

AnonymousVisiter	we also went to lavelle cemetary after all the rumers we heard about the place while we were driving there we saw a black cat and an animal that looked like a skunk...when we got there the hairs on the back of my neck started moveing and i heard someones footsteps on the road and i asked my friends if they heard footsteps too they said no....then later on we were taking pictures of the cemetary and asking the ghosts questions with my recorder well while we were doing that a strange light started showing in the woods about the size of a four wheelers headlights but the strange thing is that there was no noise coming from where the lights were.later on we cheaked the recordings and there were voices responding to the questions i asked!!!im ttrying to get the recordings online now...and when we checked out pictures nothing but orbs,a gravestone gloing and a creature on top of one of the gravestones the pictures are on facebook right now,but after that experience i want to go back there!!

AnonymousVisiter	This all seems kinda silly to me...I grew up just down the road from this cemetary. Heck, I even mowed it once. We used to go nightcrawler hunting during thunderstorms in the middle of the night, crawling through on our hands and knees. When we got older we would go park our car as far back in the cemetary as possible and turn off the engine the lights and no one was allowed to make a sound. Well, I nor anyone who was ever with me ever heard and/or seen anything out of the ordinary. As far as I know there has never been a logging camp or loggers buried on the river bank. There certainly isn't any evidence in the area to support the theory.

The lavelle cemetery is on lavell rd in lavell township before the St. Louis river. I fish out there alot even late at night and never once experienced anything weird there.

AnonymousVisiter	There is much speculation on the location of this cemetary, it's correct location is in Lavell Township, on the Lavell Road just before the bridge crossing the St. Louis River. My family's homestead and farm is just down the road. My family has helped care for this cemetary for many many years and we have many family buried in this location. As a child I played here while Grandma mowed. The church was build in the orignal Finnish Dovetail style and sat vacant since the '70's. My uncle purchased it and moved it to his home just down the road and used it for many years. Don't know about paranormal activity, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few Finlander ghosts looking to pay a trick or two on unsuspecting gawkers. As long as there is no vandals...otherwise watch out!

This cemetery isnt not something to go to and fool around at so I wouldnt go out there and party and disrespect their home and thats why I personally believe why what ever is there isnt to freindly, so dont go out there and be disrespectful go out there and be thankful that you did get to see and hear some activity

I went out there Oct. 29th of this year and got some really strange pictures; also, I witnessed red orbs, voices, and strange mists. Felt very uncomfortable, to say the least. The overall vibe of the place is very negative. I left there in a hurry, after 15 mins, and will never go back there again.

AnonymousVisiter - -	My friends went to zim cemetery a couple years ago. They went there with a group of friends. As soon as they got there(they drove) the driver turned off the car and all the lights. Seconds later, outside they heard scratching noises and the car started shaking. All of the sudden, my friend saw a pair of bright red eyes. They all freaked out so the driver tried to start the car but it wouldn't start. It took 4 minutes to start the car and the whole time he was trying to start it, they could still hear the scratching and the car kept shaking. As soon as the car started, everything stopped. When they got home, they looked at the car and they realized it was covered in scratch marks. This is a 100% true story.
