Native american Petro glyphs, We FINNALY found these, we failed on 2 other trips to find them... This time, we knew we were going near them, but didn`t really look for them, and sure enough... we drove right into them, almost litterally.
Really cool stuff, found all types of etchings and such, unfortunately... people have been carving their name and date into the rocks, and over the petroglyphs since 1927 (check the pics and youll see what I am talking about). Although, I suppose... back in the early days when these etchings were made... it was the same concept... `graffiti` only difference is that it over 1200 years ago.
But anyway... saw some interesting stuff... like one that looks like a martian with an eye on top of its head, next to what looks like a ufo. etchings of men, animals, creatures, plants, etc.
I scouted arround, but couldn`t find a single `artifact` or any hand tools/arrow heads / etc. Upon leaving this place, if you look closely, theres petroglyphs EVERYWHERE arround the mountain. all the way arround it too. And I thought I read `Smoke signal dances with snakes for a good time` I could be wrong though...
