TRUE STORY: Well, I went in for an anonymous tour a few weeks ago one night. Very awesome people there let me in. I don't know what made me so special because that house has so much prestige and whatnot and I'm sure they're used to curious visitors. I was going in expecting something. At first, the house felt very homey. Not what you would expect from a so called "haunted" house. Huge rooms and staircase leading up to the 2nd floor. The owner's neice gave me a tour, really cool teenager. =] So I had a tour first of the 1st floor, very quick. Nice set-up. Big tv there. Anyway, we went up to the 2nd floor and it felt very cool and nippy up there. This is no b.s. I could've SWORE I saw something of a shadow heading into the master bedroom. The lights up there aren't so bright. We checked it out and this smell of somewhat of a fire burning or smoke was in the room. There's a story behind that room, not so clear on it. By that point, I was freaking out, but I don't know what told me to continue with the tour, because this is an awesome opportunity. We went up to the 3rd floor. It looks as if it's not finished yet. Going up, I felt something brush against my head, but it was unexplainable. Nothing there could've caused it. We went into a few rooms and everything seemed cool. Heading back downstairs, a huge clash happened in a back room. When we went to check it out, absolutely nothing was harmed or had fallen. Anything of that matter, but it did come from that room, but we checked out the other rooms just in case. I was freaking out. I also heard the sprits that roam there DO NOT like visitors. I could only imagine what happens to the people that live there. Soo we headed back downstairs and I felt a shove on my back. We ran down the 3rd floor stairs. That was it. I know this sounds like too much, but believe me, this DID happen. You can only experience things yourself to truley believe in the after life. Visit the mansion one weekend and see if they let you in too.
Hello Everyone - I owned the Victorian from 2001 to 2008 and I am a very level headed - "show me the proof" - kind of woman - but I can tell you from personal experience that there is DEFINITELY a few sprits living in that house
1) A servant girl from the late 1870's (she is in the census records of the time) she would brush my face and "sit" next to me when ever I was working on my needlework.
2) A young boy - who I personally have had contact with and have seen - he is dressed in a blue suit of about the turn of the century
3) A man who did die in a fire in the 60's in the master bedroom (confirmed with the fire department) (the house was a bording house in the 60's and 70's) he takes the form of a grey shape and has opened the door to the master bedroom for me.
Almost all the digital pictures taken in the house have orbs in them.
Things did get moved all the time - but I never saw anything floating thru the air.
The only time we smelled the burning smell was when there was a particular medium in the house and she told us that he wanted her out - so she left and didn't get invited back ! ( I have to admit I got a weird feeling from her too)
Over the years that we lived there we had many mediums, Ghost Hunter shows and media attention. When the lights and cameras were rolling nothing ever happened. It was when the house was calm and quiet that the spirits felt more comfortable to interact with us.
I have to admit I was a little freaked out by it at first but they never pushed us around or scared us in any way - just light touches and letting us see them once in a while.
Eventually I would just talk to them and ask them not to freak me out ! Sounds daft I know but when you live in a house that is haunted you have to realize that they were there before you and you have invaded their space, and they will probably be there long after you leave, so have some respect.
We did hear foot falls all the time, but I would walk around the house in the dark with out a worry - except for the 3rd floor, which really creaped me out - something not so friendly up there. We would see a black cat up there all the time, we didn't own a black cat at that time, we later got one. ( a real one)
If the current owners do let you have a tour (we used to give tours all the time, I had a gift shop in the two front rooms - Torriander) enjoy the history of the house and the incredible wood work and who knows, you too may be treated toseeing the spirts.

This is the current home owner of the Victorian (and prior to living here did NOT believe in spirits at all) since we moved in late April of 2009 after dealing with a few strange occurrences of activity that we could not explain including objects moving, whispering, loud banging’s on our master bedroom door and hearing voices calling our names, footsteps, slamming doors in the middle of the night, shadows, tapping, Phantom sounds & smells, scratching and loud crashes and bangs with no identifiable cause including seeing a full body apparition and our dogs are very sensitive and have growled and barked suddenly in the middle of the night. we than made a decision this past summer to speak with some of the best known Paranormal Researches trying to resolve our issues caused by unknown spirits.
We have had a few Psychics here that had interesting experiences about a Vortex located by the grand staircase just to the left of the lamp not sure exactly what it is about it but apparently you feel the sense of being on a ride, dizzyness I can only describe as a sea sick feeling. The American Indian cultures describe it as a portal where spirits travel from this world to the next and vise-a-versa. To some psychics it is a hole through a person, spirit or thing can pass into another dimension
Some of the evidence that has been captured so far with just a few investigations are Disembodied voices, tons of EVP’s some in foreign languages, footsteps, weird light streaking orbs, the sound of a woman moaning in pleasure (In the early 1900’s it was a brothel) mysterious floating light in the staircase, motion detectors have gone off numerous times, doors opening & closing, cameras moving, Ghost boxes going off “saying Ed-Win, Circus, Midgets (P.T Barnum became good friends with SK Pierce) along with other great evidence.
Since allowing investigators psychics and mediums some of the claims have been dizziness, light headedness, a feeling of pressure on the chest, or nausea touched, the feeling of being watched, picked up on negative presence in a bedroom mostly the feeling of being choked & weight pressing down there chest. Mediums have also picked up on a woman was brutally raped and murdered when it was a brothel
The 3rd floor former servants' quarters gives me the heebie jeebies there is something up there that feels bad, There is stuff belonging to a past owner that give me the impression that strange documents about rituals including disturbing paintings.
There are a few psychics/mediums that can’t or will not to go up the 3rd floor

I bought a Victorian on woodland ave that is "haunted". I prefer to call it "blessed with spirits" because they are loving and playful ...Haunted to me referrs to more negative spirits.... I am also psychic and have been called on to rid homes of negative residents. This is not to be taken lightly or not believed.. it is all to real... please always protect yourselves and proceed with caution....
