Notice you still didn't name the alleged plantation.
I called Thomas County, Brooks County as well as Colquitt County agencies this place does NOT exist.
Calling the county offices or historical societies is not going to do you any good. They don't want that type of infomation floating around. Brooks County is said to be the county with the most lynchings in Georgia. Lowndes County is said to have the most gruesome case of lynching in history. All these counties want to shed themselves of this cruel history. They see it as: You don't talk about, people forget about it and soon it disappears altogether.
I can gaurantee you that you will never find where a lynching grove was, if a county indeed had one. The counties are not going to mark or document these places for the public eyes to see, simply because of the attention it might receive.
my uncle was murdered and everyone was too scared to find out anything or to report anything because we lived on "white" man's property. iwas too young to be listened to and to this day nothing has been done. im going to find out what happened that day in BROOKS COUNTY.
