This old fort is haunted by soldiers that died there. Spooky figures have been reported to appear all over the premises. People have claimed that a strange figure will follow people leaving the fort, then disappear.

I lived in this fort and I know it is haunted! I managed this fort in the early 1980`s before the Dauphin island bridge was rebuilt. I also lived at the fort. I have many stories to share! I did get interviewed a few times pertaining to the hauntings. Also got married in the fort. Glad to see others that have shared interests.

Myself and a friend went to the fort this past Monday and did some EMF, EVP, and took some digital pictures. While the EMF and EVP didn`t find anything we found something on the digital. It could have been a smaller orb with a larger one right beside it in two different pictures taken within 15 seconds of each other. The orbs seemed to have moved from one part of the room to the other and changed the arrangement they were in. It could have been dust, but you never know. When I get a chance to actually sit down at home and load some pictures I will and let everyone be the judge. Until then, I will continue to sit at work and search for more places to go in the Mobile, AL area.
