Location Description:         
 

This site is located about 13.5 miles after the turn off for Peppermint Creek campground, 2 miles after the actual campground on the left side of the road. Now granted there is probably a great explanation for this rock, like my father`s suggestion of it being from the drill they used when carving out the road. However I`ve never seen something like this and Matrix and I thought it was neat.

Just a quick note, when driving to peppermint creek campground, from los angeles area... you will see it on your left hand side its in a HUGE wall on your left side... like 30 feet high, the rock itself is like 6 feet off the ground.

yea looks a lot like the grooves left in the side of hillsides along the highway in upstate NY. strange how they go out from a center point. still kinda cool.
