There is thought to be a ghost of a young man that may have drowned in this river. There have been hundreds of sightings in the last 50 years. He is sighted on the American River`s Sailor`s bar.

Docked near it when I was rafting with a few homies and we came back and our paddles were gone! Literally had just sat them right next to us. Who knows.
